We’re humbled to have fitted out a new cookery school for Migrateful, a charity that runs cookery classes led by migrant chefs who are looking to integrate into society and access employment.

The cookery classes give the chefs ideal conditions not just for learning English and building confidence, but also for promoting contact and cultural exchange with the wider community.

We were delighted to have joined the launch party last month where the space came to life with food demonstrations, dancing and live music – a brilliant way to celebrate a project completion! The new facility includes a large teaching station, workstations for up to 12 students, new extract and lighting systems as well as bespoke feature joinery.

The stunning design from Allford Hall Monaghan Morris drew inspiration from the myriad of cuisines and cultures at Migrateful, which was evident in the vibrant patterns of the Domus tiles.

Now that the charity has a new home and permanent kitchen, they are offering more cookery classes. To book an in-person or online cookery class and to read more about Migrateful’s amazing work click here.
