We’re thrilled to have delivered a brand new head office space for pladis, a global confectionery company within the Chiswick Park development. This is a cultural, as well as physical move for pladis focused on creating an open office space promoting collaborative working.
The workspace features various feature areas such as ‘the heart’, breakout ‘town hall’ style space with large AV installation, a relaxing ‘mother room’ and a multitude of collaboration spaces. The main feature area, ‘the heart’ space forms the central breakout area and celebrates the idea of baking being at the heart of pladis’ culture. The decorative rolling pin chandeliers and ovens echo this as well as a digital screen that links to pladis’ bakeries in Carlisle, England.
Brand colours highlight the open collaboration areas, which are a visual reference to the iconic and much-loved brands including McVities and Godvia that are brought together in the pladis family. Driven by our in-house technical design team, the space required a high-level of coordination to ensure seamless buildability whilst protecting the design intent at all times.
It is no surprise the stunning space has been featured in The New York Times article: One Size Doesn’t Fit All: Employees’ Needs Are Changing Work Spaces. The article touches on how offices are transforming to adapt to employees’ needs and new ways of working in a post-pandemic world.
